I have tried both this product and the 2 drawer for various reasons. First, both smells seem to linger fairly well, but a trash can is much smaller than a locker, so it fills up quicker and needs to be emptied more often. Another reason is that the entire lid of the litter box comes off while the lid of the gin goes up. This makes this part much harder to clean as you can't separate it from the rest of the case. As dirty garbage is dumped here it can get pretty messy and I love being able to completely remove and sanitize this part which makes the locker look more welcoming. And the final reason, and probably the most important to me, is that the bin liner makes it a lot easier to use bin bags instead of store-bought rubbish. I like to use 8 gallon trash bags rather than buying expensive refills. With a litter box, I can just put a trash bag down and put on a lid that keeps it securely in place. However, because the ghost is foldable, it makes using garbage bags much more difficult. You should keep an empty spare and wrap it in a trash bag and secure with a rubber band. While it can be done, it's not as easy or safe as a litter box 2. While it does a good job of keeping odors out and helping with litter box cleanup, if I had to choose between the two, this would be my second choice.
