Review on 💇 Conair Hot Roller Super Clips, Black: 10 Efficient Hair Accessories for Easy Styling by Chris Byers

I have a vintage set of 12 Conair Jumbo (1 1/2") and Super Jumbo (2"). I lost the clips so I got them to replace. I was also going to order a second set of reels but was suspicious due to the bad reviews of the clips. I'm Korean with waist length hair that's layered in the front from about collarbone down. I have very thick Asian hair. They worked great with the curlers and my hair - the curlers didn't move. I've tried not to overload the reels and adjusted the clamps so the top is facing up from the reel rather than hanging down from it (which is the opposite of how I use the metal U-clamps that originally came with this set were delivered - which I love using by poking up instead of down). My hair is pretty porous so I don't leave it on for long. They left little curls unless they were close to the head or wrapped completely around the curler and I could see how they could easily get tangled in finer hair. So if you have small curlers and/or very thin hair, you might like the traditional U-shaped hair clips more. I took off a star because they seem a bit flimsy and I think $11 is a bit steep for what you get. I'm about to order a second set of rollers and a second set of clips (remember I have a set of 12 rollers and they come in a set of 10) - slightly overpriced but still cheaper than a single professional blower . In general I was satisfied with the purchase.
