Review on ☕ IMUSA USA 4 Cup Epic Electric Espresso/Cappuccino Maker - Red 800W by Dan Chunn

This IMUSA was a replacement for a smaller IMUSA that lasted over three years. One was "retro", like "Jetsons-ish", with a useless temperature gauge on the front. It was good for the price, but performance soon fell off. THIS is really good quality. The handle felt comfortable, the switch is nice and clickable, and the cutting basket has three locking tabs that really close it. When new the silicone gasket for the basket was so tight it looked like an arm wrestle, but after a few weeks of use it broke into a nice piece. The mouth of the water was smaller than the previous one, so you should aim well. The screw cap is larger, making it easier to remove. We have been drinking ground espresso from the same brand for 10 years, so we know all the nuances. This machine canceled out those nuances and made some notes even brighter. I attribute this to the 5 bar operating pressure, fast heat-up time and faster delivery. For the price, it met all my expectations and exceeded it in flavor and speed. Espresso is everything we drink here at home. Now for the ONLY negatives (one star deducted). It's very easy. SO light that you need two hands to lift the basket, especially in the beginning. but it gets easier. Feet are slippery at the bottom. no rubber, nothing "sticky" so with weight, and no "grip" for the counter, yes. two hands. I will try different methods of adding "hooks" to the legs since our racks are made of stainless steel. But I digress. Overall if you are looking for a good balance between budget and performance. look no further. This machine produces a mighty fine cup of espresso. You just have to avoid the slides and slides. ;-)
