Look, you only have to use a few products these days. This collar could never prevent all fleas! My indoor/outdoor cat had terrible flea allergy dermatitis so we came down to him with some products to try and do the best we could. Surprisingly I think this collar really helps because when we added it we noticed fewer fleas after a month. He has been with him for 3 months. We use other flea meds (monthly) as well as the occasional oral 24 hour flea med to give his little body a break when fleas were just overwhelming despite other things. The collar is not terrible, but not a pleasant smell. He was very frustrated at first, but it stuck and like I said, I think it's working. NO signs of skin damage on the neck like the others.
