This plastic cutlery is sold under the Walmart brand. They had two colors: transparent and black. Both dissolve on contact with acidic foods like oranges. When we used knives to cut oranges, the outer layers of the knives would disintegrate when the orange peel was touched. The black variant is particularly noticeable because the black dyes dissolve and get into the food. The pure version is difficult to see because it is transparent. But if you look closely, you'll find that a similar process of dissolution is taking place. This cutlery is marked as BPA-free. However, I'm not sure what health hazard the dissolved plastic may pose when digested.
