This product is perfect for our changing mat. He is very soft and has a great feel to him. However, I couldn't feel the softness since the cartridge was on it the whole time. When I changed my baby's diaper, he had something of an explosion. I wasn't done yet and it ended up pretty much everywhere, including this cover. While this changing pad was easy to remove, it wasn't that easy to clean. It took a lot of effort and patience. I've since learned my lesson and now use ammo over the changing pad. The cartridges saved me from the fountain of youth my boy sometimes wants to squirt during diaper changes and subsequent explosions. I cannot fully recommend this product as it is difficult to clean. However, at the same time it protected the pillow when I had the first explosion. If you use this product without a cartridge, be aware that you are playing with fire. and sometimes you get burned.
