Suitable for Christmas lights - nothing more

I bought these to attach garlands to my gutter. At first they seemed to work fine and stay in place, but after a few minutes they kept slipping and shutting down. Don't hold onto the lights. They seem to be good for Christmas lights and to hold those types of lights, but for keeping piercing lights where you need them to be tight they didn't work. For the price it was good to try them. Unfortunately they didn't fit me.
