This is a nice SATA M.2 SSD enclosure with SMART and TRIM support. It supports TRIM when the SSD is formatted with NTFS file system in Windows 10. This new model looks better with a darker Macbook-style grey. Read and write performance with an installed Samsung 860 EVO M.2 SSD with 1 TB at a sequential speed of just over 400 MB/s. Two small flaws. (They give you two of these, so don't toss the excess in a little plastic zip-lock bag like I almost did) which is fine as it's easy to use once you figure out you can rotate it , and the advantage is completely tool - free . Although I'd rather have a real M.2 screw to hold the drive in the case because I won't be removing it. .that is, until the hull finally fails and it's just like them all. * I wish they had snapped the lid so I didn't have to glue it.
