Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Hoya 67mm NDx8 HMC: Enhance Photography with Neutral Density Filter by Rashan Jimenez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Control bright light.

I needed to be able to use a slow shutter speed or a wide aperture during the day. I've had some success with a polarizing filter, but needed even more flexibility. I tried a cheap brand ND filter but it had a very strong red cast. In addition, it was not layered, which could sometimes lead to glare. I didn't want to live with a red cast "neutral" filter so I sent it back. This filter is about three times the price, but here's what you get for the extra money: - the filter is truly neutral - without adding a color cast to your images - multi-coated (on both sides) for better colour, contrast and flare control - improved design - much easier to screw onto the lens. This filter fits two lenses I have so I can save some money this way. My first pictures showed that this was the right choice for me. The images (waterfalls) came out exactly how I wanted and the filters were easy to use. There are more expensive filters out there and some may want to spend the extra money (double the price) but I found these to be perfectly fine for my purposes and far exceed what was possible at a third of the cost. and Flare Control - an improved design - is much easier to screw onto the lens.
