It's always hard to tell if these things will work. There is light, but the goal is not to shine, but to make noise, scare away vermin, and I don't mean your neighbors or relatives. We can't hear the sound, of course, so it could just be expensive night lights. So let's look at the evidence to see if it actually does anything. I have a problem with ladybugs (or Japanese beetles) and stink bugs coming into the house in winter (as well as mice, but I don't usually see them). Bed bugs tend to congregate in sunny, south-facing windows. I heartlessly placed these devices just below the windows. :-) What happened was quite interesting for me. The little bugs have disappeared from this area! In fact, a whole bunch of them decided to move into a cool, dark, noisy utility room with a stove and water heater. When I realized where they had gone, their bodies were all over the floor of the room! So I put one of these in the utility room (and vacuumed the floor). So far there are no bug bodies. Hooray! In short, beetles move from their favorite areas to areas they don't normally visit. I will say this works as advertised and annoys the pests in the house. Another note: this is not a seller rating, but I want to say that they have provided excellent support for their product. One device (of six in the box) arrived broken. I contacted them and they sent me a replacement unit with no problem or hassle. So five stars for them too!
