Review on Enhanced Logitech K400 Wireless Touch Keyboard with Integrated Multi-Touch Touchpad by Mateusz Bana ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It is of good quality, but I won't buy it again.

It's a shame that the only multimedia keys are volume, which is strange for a keyboard well suited to an HTPC. A very controversial decision - scrolling. There is multi-touch, scrolling is done with two fingers up and down (or left and right), it works very clearly, however, with a typical keyboard grip by a person lounging on the couch, it would be more convenient to implement this function, as in most laptops - with one finger along the right edge touchpad. Smartphone-style zoom in and out on the touchpad is not implemented (with the current version of SetPoint, November 2022). Of the common advantages - a standard "unifying" receiver for Logitech, one for all input devices. Software for Windows - the Setpoint program common to Logitech products, generally sane, but the settings are poor. Somewhat reassuring is the fact that in place of the missing multimedia keys, you can use it to hang Fn + F1 . F12. As a result, the purchase is satisfied, a good device. It would be great (with its shortcomings), if not for the relative position of the Right Shift and the up arrow. I will still struggle with the loss of communication - I will plug the receiver into an extension cord and place it higher (on a TV connected to a computer), I hope it helps. : helped :)

Pros
  • 1. Price 2. The quality of the keys and touchpad, size and weight is a nice device for PC home theater. Can be placed on a table/shelf "on edge". 3. Cool, duplicating the left mouse click, the key on the top left, very convenient when you hold the keyboard with two hands
Cons
  • 1. If the keyboard is on your lap, and you are sitting on the couch away from the computer, sometimes the connection with the receiver is lost. Like the "death grip" of the iPhone. The transmitter antenna, according to my observations, is right above the inscription "Logitech" 2. Between the "Right Shift" and ". , /?" there is an up arrow. Epic fail for touch typists. Try to print a comma in the 2022 case, and the result will upset you - you will go up a line, type a dot there and a few more letters until you realize that you made a mistake. 3. Few multimedia keys (consider none at all)
