I didn't buy this for the smell like most people do, I bought it for safety reasons. our 80-year-old mother lives with us under one roof. In the summer we plan to replace all the windows. With the pandemic and all the workers that will be in the house, I couldn't risk their health and lives. Therefore, after reading for a long time, I found that devices of this type are also used to sterilize premises. No wonder, because everywhere there is a warning that you should not stay near him during work or with animals until the room has been ventilated. So for this reason alone I bought this device. It comes well packaged so it doesn't get pushed around during shipping. Given the electronics inside, that's a good thing. it is extremely easy to use. so easy that all instructions, including usage times in square feet, are printed on a small 3 x 5 inch card. Basically, all you have to do is plug it in and turn the timer clockwise for as long as you like. FYI, if you turn it further than you'd like, just turn it off and let it "click". The timer is very similar to the kitchen timer, ticking until the bell rings, when are you done? Dryer, which is understandable given its performance. but that's why you can't plug it into an outlet. The first time I tested it was using the bathroom outlet, it worked for about 2 seconds and the switch clicked. Having used other outlets I haven't had any issues so just a warning just in case. The device is quieter than expected, but that doesn't matter since you never have to be in the same place when it's running. Better to play it safe IMHO with what we're all dealing with now. Bonus, I can also pull out an extension cord and use it in our cars. I got what I paid for and am very happy with it. I highly recommend this to anyone who may need to protect themselves from a space virus. If you need a plumber, electrician, handyman or anyone to come to your home, especially if you are in a high-risk group, you can rest easy. It's hard enough coping with what we're all going through at this time, but this little device makes things easier, safer and most important to us. *Not sure of the accuracy but I read one person who said it was impossible to order for someone living in California. something to check out first if you live there.
