I've been using this device regularly for 16 months. In that time there have only been a few outages, a cable issue and a BKAC failure. (IT pros know what I mean ;)) Pros: Easy install on Windows 10 platform, plug in, turn on, done. Reads a 16TB hard drive out of the box when I actually bought it for a 4TB hard drive. Speed is only limited by the hard drive on the USB 3.1 Gen2 port. (Read "Hard Disk", not "Solid State Drive"). Excellent compatibility with HDD hibernation and sleep function. Cons: Light and somewhat thin makes the device unstable with a 3 1/2 inch hard drive. The USB C to C cable was too stiff to maintain a good connection with a moderately curved USB port. The Revain Basic flexible USB C-to-C cable solved this problem. You have to keep the disk in it all the time. I'm pleased with the transfer speed and the ability to quickly hot-swap hard drives for quick access to a particularly large library or design database without having to wait on the network. All in all, with a little velcro and sensible handling, I have no complaints and expect a long and fruitful life from this docking station.
