I don't know what "screw positioning grids" are, but I think it's a good place to dump frayed insulation and other debris that's always trying to roll on it. floor before I get to the trash can. The magnetic fields are almost a total waste as they are extremely weak. These hold the neodymium magnet in place and you can use it to glue things together. The ruler is pretty much useless as you can't read it because it's the same color as the mat and it's barely embossed. Likewise, the sorting grid has practically illegible numbers in each pocket that you wouldn't be able to read if there was something there, and they're upside down anyway. It is certainly impervious to conventional work heat. The video shows that the solder separates easily, leaving no traces or even stains from the resin. I also tested the hot glue and it barely stuck even when pressed into the embossed lettering. I just stood up. It's just advertised as something it's not. I have many features that are implemented so poorly that it borders on real cheating. It will fit to replace the cork board I used in my soldering station. It's a nice surface to solder to, and the pockets and edges are useful, but that's not all it needs to be. It's probably actually 4 stars if only presented accurately.
