Review on 💻 USB-Powered Notebook Cooler by Antec by Peter Caw

Three stars mean 'okay'. Two stars mean "I don't like it". Therefore I give 3 stars. The first year (since December 2008) the cooler worked very well and quietly on my 15" Dell Vostro 1000 laptop. Just when it turned one year old, on December 4, 2009, it started making noise - I thought it was my hard drive Slava my goodness it was just a cooler it was getting louder and louder and just today April 4th it started to sound like a camera pacing in the noise but I need one new ones or my laptop will get too hot I thought it was OVER three years old and out of warranty Shipping more than it was worth Maybe I'll just buy another one of these (I'm a glutton for punishment) because I don't have one Bought type 1 knee pads from Costco (Logitech) and it only had one fan and they don't seem to cool in the right place for my computer BTW I NEVER had a problem with the USB cable even though it was k.It was tight and i had to fold it in to tuck it in but it fi el never fell apart and never felt weak - just lucky lol I guess. At least something about it works and the laptop cooler has been COOLING my laptop for THREE YEARS and FOUR MONTHS. ======================== === = ====================== ==================== ==== ====== I bought another one of these coolers from Revain and wanted to test it but Revain wouldn't let me, because I had already done a test, so here's a test of the second laptop cooler: seemed quieter and the USB cable was different - it was easier to use - the wire isn't on the side but on the back, so it was it more versatile BUT for some reason it didn't fit securely - but it worked fine. Now for the bad news: I was carrying my laptop and cooler together and the cooler fell about a foot onto my laminate floor and never worked again. :-( It was only 3 months old but I never sent it back to the manufacturer because I decided it would void the warranty - that's also a 3 year warranty. Very unfortunate. This one cost about a third more than my previous 1st one I ended up using a pillow - Costco's Logitech laptop cooler and it's fine, I try not to carry it around.
