I've been measuring, cutting and joining for most of my life. At 65, I remember a very feeble attempt to "metrize" in our States. Like almost everyone here, I successfully defended myself. Stupid. Now I supplement my retirement income by laying high-quality, custom-made tiles. I use a lot of math and lay out quite complex details. Due to discrepancies in tile sizes from manufacturer to manufacturer and the constant questioning of nominal and actual sizes, I ended up doing a lot of fractions. All of my professional tile cutting/cutting tools have both imperial and metric measuring scales. beautiful. I am completely and very satisfied with the former. My only complaint about this band is that I couldn't find any of the 5m bands as I don't need to use a heavy 10m for most setups. If you're even considering this measurement tool, do yourself a favor and take the leap to metrics.
