Just don't overtighten!
They work MUCH better than suction cups. Just make sure you don't over tighten the clip when screwing it onto the magnet. I twisted the clip with the first one I came across and had to send it back! Just tighten until the clip touches the magnet and you're good to go. This will prevent my heater from floating and will improve the look of my aquarium. Love it!
