While I Like It - Computer Case

Really Quiet. Airflow isn't great for the number of fans, but that's to be expected. The space is quite generous. For some reason it has a slot for a CD drive. I currently have 7 hard drive slots occupied and had no problems. The hot-swap cages are a little suspect, as you have to flex them a little more than I find comfortable to attach the rear pins. Hard disks in the airflow path are actually very important when you use them. somewhat consistent that with RAID or softraid (like md or zfs pools) they can all run for days if something needs rebalancing and they can get very hot. If you're not using discs, you should probably remove the cages as they block airflow. The way it works, you must first take them out from the top and move them down. Personally, I would have preferred it if I could just leave a gap for the graphics card with only 6 drives. An additional 5mm is needed on the back of the case to facilitate cable routing. It closed but I think it's sticking out a bit from all my SATA data cables and power cables. Thankfully, it's hard to tell as the texture is very matte. The door hinge mechanism is also wobbly compared to any other case I've worked with. You slide the front inward and then close it instead of sliding it. When assembling the computer I was concerned that the back door would accidentally open before the screws were inserted to hold it closed, but this did not happen. The power supply connectors are very difficult to reach. For some reason the front is closed. It would make sense if the side wasn't opaque, but aesthetics aren't that important with a solid black body. It is best to connect all cables before attaching the power supply there. I forgot one of my GPU cables and it took about 5 minutes with the case already open just to run an 8 pin GPU cable which should normally be trivial. I like that it's solid black. I don't really need my computer to light up my room. I also have a video capture card that blinks red every time I turn on the computer until I open its software, so I'd prefer it not to be visible. Rainbow motherboards are annoying too. As far as I can tell, the front USB LEDs don't turn off. They can be bright at night. I'll probably open up the faceplate assembly and unsolder it myself. Although at the moment it is mostly ignored. Overall a pretty good case if you need a lot of hard drive bays. I would recommend the CORSAIR Carbide Series 275Q if you don't need that much space. It's very similar but smaller and looks a little better in my opinion.
