I used the same mask as a lifeguard with the US Coast Guard in the 80's. The flush valve makes it easy to empty the mask of water by exhaling through your nose. You don't have time to take off your mask when you're busy saving people. Also a great mask for snorkeling and diving. I've used it up to 100+ feet. This new model should last even longer as it's made of silicone rubber with double rims. Put some petroleum jelly on your mustache if you have one. My service mask eventually rotted. But I have and still use my Aqua Lung Rocket exhaust fins.
