Review on πŸ”§ Lisle 19612 Multi-Application Oil Funnel (19912): Simplify Oil Changes with Ease! by Balthazar Cooper

Great tool but limited

This is a great idea for most applications. The plastic isn't hard, it's pretty thin and I wish it was a little stronger overall. The red hopper lid is sometimes difficult to remove because it looks like it has two tabs, but that's no big deal. It holds quite a bit of oil and I like the idea of having a cap on the end to prevent oil from spilling because there are thieves in my shop who like to take things. So locking the toolbox is a must for me and I don't have to worry about oil on the bottom which is great. The adapters don't have a housing or place to store them so it's very easy to lose an adapter, I just cut off the top of an old air filter box and threw them in there (not in place, out of my head and just throwing them throw back in.) If you are someone who only works with a specific vehicle and sometimes gets different vehicle types this can be a great tool but for me when working with different vehicle types. You see the limitations of the tool. For example, the purple color is for Chrysler vehicles, the adapter only works with newer Chrysler vehicles. It doesn't work on old ones with screw type. Using Toyota or Nissan is not an option as they are not tight, I was tired and oil was leaking all over the bottom. Black for GM also has limitations and does not work on all models. I've met a few that don't fit for some reason. Also, some older Ford vehicles will not work with the adapter. Using the funnel without an adapter will not work as it will tip over so you will need to remove the clear plastic to use it. Also, the tool does not have adapters for other models like Kia, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, which are regular cars on the road. It would be great to even buy additional adapters for it, but unfortunately they don't exist. I would be very careful with adapters as they are plastic and hot motors as they will melt. Overall I'm happy with the product and would recommend it as useful and easy to refill, but it does have some downsides.
