Nice picture in my review

One of my regular old monitors died so I wanted to replace both of them with an ultra wide screen. I chose this LG 29" and am not disappointed at all. I like the bright and crisp colors, had to turn the brightness down a bit. Was surprised by the white back but who cares about the back of their monitor? I couldn't find any installation instructions , there are only some security items on the CD that are not part of the setup I had trouble viewing the recommended resolution Uninstalled all the display drivers in safe mode, reinstalled the latest Intel 530 drivers Cables, but I ordered Cable Display Port, as I need HDMI for the TV.Once I plugged in the DP cable it wanted to use that connection but I couldn't find any buttons on the unit to make that choice. Finally I found the button at the bottom and I was able to access DP toggle and the correct resolution was automatically selected. It would be nice if LG put a little help here instead uen would to admit new users ovators try it yourself. Finally a stand. One word: garbage! It doesn't move at all and the screen leans backwards. Apparently LG saved here. At least it wasn't about the cost of the screen itself. I ordered an elbow attachment and the combo is amazing. Freedom to move the screen in any direction. Worth the extra $25. I will spend many happy hours playing with my new toys.
