Review on Plug-In Mount - Accessory For Google Home Mini (Gray) by Vincent Poolaw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A clean, smart, all-around accessory for your Mini

is good right out of the box. The instructions on the inside back of the box seem simple enough and then you start putting them together and they will blow your mind. The? Written outlines/instructions are sorely lacking but the video makes you realize you should have found out but you didn't. I had to watch it twice. However, if you're smarter than average and not an idiot like me, you'll understand. I did exactly as shown in the video (even "winding up the cord") and bingo, bango, bongo. The Mini sits fairly well on its edge, the cable and USB port are discreetly tucked away, and it looks almost natural in an outlet. It's a little "bulky" but I like its clean look and again it almost looks like it belongs. The case itself looks and feels very solid BUT I'm wondering how well the power cord's electrical pins stay in their attachment part. I want it to sit flush with the bracket (you'll know what I mean when you buy it) so it sits flush with the outlet. Maybe it was intentional? The price seems a little high, but thanks for building something I hadn't thought of (see previous link for my intellectual status) and benefiting from it.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
