Thing works - Accessories and consumables

Thing works. But I live in the suburbs and only have room in my backyard for a 35 foot wire. I attached it to the roof panel at 20 feet and to my wall at the bottom about 4.5 feet off the ground so with insulators. I use it with a standard RG-6 cable, a TV coaxial cable with an adapter, a layer of aluminum foil and a layer of braided wire for the screen. grounded screen. Copper inner conductor. Orientation north-northeast, in southern Arizona. I'm thinking of trimming the long wire to keep it away from the attachment points. I don't know if that's the problem, but I am amplifying the noise along with the signal when using a long cable. Maybe I'm in such a noisy environment that this doesn't help. This requires experimentation. If I line up the long wire by attaching the rod to the wall, that might help as well. But I know this balun works because it definitely boosts the signal a bit. I used to use 2 wire speaker wire to a house with no balun. But this balun-coax combination is almost as loud. I was hoping coax would reduce noise more than it did. But then again, this is probably the fault of the noisy electronic environment and not a problem with the balun.
