I bought this to replace my old mouth guard which I had for many years; it was up to a quarter of what it was. I got one of these a few years ago and kind of lost it when I moved. So I went back to the old one. I grind horribly at night. The first few nights (as the insert says) I had to adjust and my jaw hurt a bit but it's ok now. I've had it for quite a while now and it hasn't turned yellow or anything. And the bite pads are still intact. I also practice a little mantra in an insert and it has changed how I feel when I wake up in the morning. I used to be tense in the mornings. I don't feel the tension or tightness in the morning that I'm used to. There is value. It was a lot cheaper than the $500 custom one my dentist told me to have. I will continue to get them if this ever wears out.
