Why don't they make more of these sets for girls? Smart, inspiring, healthy. It's great to get young girls excited about thoughtful hobbies. As for negative feedback, please, they are PAPER dolls! For dolls advertised as such these are of GREAT quality and several sets are still in decent condition after my daughter outgrew them and passed them on to her sister and she has outgrown them. They are made of thick cardboard and are not indestructible. A small child without supervision can destroy them. But the usual nifty game for girls with just enough supervision to clean up after use should be fine. My girls loved them so much I bought them as gifts for every 'thoughtful' girl I know (godaughters and nieces) and replaced one of the sets to brush up for my youngest daughter because it's worth it, smart ones to have non-sexualized dolls for our daughters! We need to encourage the sale and manufacture of products that appear to have difficulty competing with Barbie and Bratz products. Oh, and a small bowl of water to wet her finger will help if your daughter is upset about the pieces not sticking to the board. I understand the negative reviews but I honestly don't think small issues with this product should stop people from buying it. Conclusion: Understand that these are PAPER dolls. Knowing this will help you avoid disappointment. Also for paper dolls they are excellent compared to the old fashioned ones, I remember where the clothes just fold around the doll and tip over easily. We love Pensive Girls paper dolls!
