Before ordering, I read a lot of reviews about these columns. They are very popular, mainly because they seem to be the most economical products in a relatively narrow product segment. The biggest consistent complaint I've read was that these speakers lack bass. Before buying, I thought I would solve this problem by making boxes for them when installing. My ceiling joists are 2x6, 16" centered, so I used 3/4" plywood with glue and screw joints to unport boxes that were 14 1/2" x 14 1/2" x 5 1/2" tall " built. I drilled a 1/4" hole in the side of each for the wires to pass through and mounted the Bluetooth module on a ceiling joist next to a below powered switched outlet. Worth every effort. They are powerful, bassy and (for the money) the sound quality is excellent I don't think I would be as happy with the sound if I mounted it directly to the wall plate as instructed Bluetooth worked fine on multiple devices, range is adequate I recommend this one highly recommend product.
