Expansion for less demanding laptops and tasks

This docking station comes in stand form, not an adapter, and has many ports for compatibility and expansion. It looks good on the table, it's heavy and the stand is stable. The metal body looks nice, but the glossy finish can show fingerprints. The construction looks solid. The hub outputs a maximum of 4K at 30 fps via HDMI. 4K30 is great for work and movies, but the lower frame rate is noticeable when gaming. The hub includes 3 USB 3 Type-A ports, unlike some other hubs that don't. On the plus side, it's convenient to use multiple USB 3 devices. The downside of not even having a USB 2 port is compatibility limitations - I have some devices that only work with USB 2 ports. VGA is a good option for connecting older monitors and projectors. The hub can deliver 60W of power to your laptop. This is useful if your laptop only has a Type-C port and you want to keep it charged. 60W is fast, but not as good as 100W - laptops can easily run out of power on demanding applications. Internet Speed Test. It seems that the effect of copying 200 megabytes/s is to reduce my upload and download speeds by 200 megabits/s. When I stop copying files, my internet speed test results are 800/900 Mbps, not 600/700 Mbps. Bottom line, this hub is good enough if you don't plan on playing 4K games or using your laptop in a power-hungry manner, or if you need that particular combination of ports. If you want faster loading speeds and 4K60 video, there are other hubs that don't cost much more.
