Review on πŸ’‘ APC P12U2 Surge Protector Power Strip with USB Ports - 4320 Joule 12 Outlet Surge Protector by Adan Hudson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Stealing $26, I paid $32 and I'm satisfied, green light is NOT a problem, brightness is not a problem.

Took it right out of the box and started working on my ivy of cords hanging from the TV and other sources. There was an 8 socket power strip which was old and probably had little to no surge protection. It took 30 minutes to untangle all the power cords, but this sturdy box looked good compared to what I was using. I plugged everything in, the green light came on, which I understand also serves as a warning of unsafe wiring in the house. Our house is from 1953, so it's good to know that everything is fine. I used 9 of the 12 output ports with enough room for 3 more and don't have to worry about huge bulky adapters. I removed the extension as it said do not use it with this extension so I took their warning, it exposed 10ft of useless cable right there. A 6 inch cable suits my needs, I wish I had 8 but that's no big deal. The green light everyone is complaining about isn't a problem either as the strip is under the coffee table and you can rotate the light away from your face as I pointed it towards the speaker. This shouldn't even be people's complaint, but they certainly have fins to complain about. I haven't tested the 2 USB ports to power my iPad or phone, so I can't comment on how fast it charges. I already feel better about safety during the flood. I will not lose my stereo, TV and other equipment if and when this happens. House fires are my biggest concern and I don't feel I have to worry about this big boy. I like that it's flat and not a tower. For $32 this is a good deal. It was somewhere between that and an Echo device, but it was a higher joule value because I have a lot of devices plugged into it. I'm happy with the product, easy setup and secure latches for closing holes you don't fill, but 12 per strip should meet most average people's needs. I recommend buying one. Will update if I have any problems.
