Why pollute the oceans with grit?
After years of diving with soft weights and watching the white liquid that oozes out of them after each dive, it finally dawned on me that maybe the white stuff coming off the lead shot might not be good is. for the sea creatures and plants I visit! So I decided to go back to solid lead blocks for diving. The reason I bought them is because they are the right shape - they don't have any rough edges or imperfections that could cut a 2 inch nylon strap. Less wear and tear, less worries.
