I bought these mugs for a party I was having at home. I wanted something that was relatively low in liquid, as guests tend to drink half of a cup's contents, then accidentally leave it somewhere, only to refill another and repeat the process. The 5 ounce mug was perfect for this purpose, and the mugs are way bigger than I need for one party, so I'm happy to save them for the next one. Plastic. They bend very easily so it's probably not the best product for kids. However, an average adult can hold a cup without putting too much pressure on the plastic. In addition, these mugs have a nice nickel texture on the side, which makes them easy to grab.
