I've never really washed my back. I just tend to let the existing water and soap wash over it and be done with it.I wish I had picked up one of these sooner.Not only does it make a great back scratcher in a pinch, but it is long enough to hit all the areas you most likely neglect when showering (or taking a bath) because you can't reach properly.It has a softer side great for lathering and a harder side meant to exfoliate (or a facsimile thereof) .Both sides work great and now I go out of the way to not only scrub my back but then apply a moisturizer with it.The lower part of the beck has a few plastic grips for better hold when scrubbing your back and they definitely help.Simple string makes it easy to hang when finished.Simple yet effective in all the right ways.5/5
