Too bad half of them don't work

I bought six boxes of these lamps. I liked the steady and slow decay option, so I programmed a semi-permanent and a semi-slow decay. I checked them all. When we put them in, all the bulbs set to constant mode didn't work. Only three boxes work. It's weird because I tested them all, but after I attached them to the string of lights in front of the house, half of them fell out. I brought them in to try and none of them worked anymore. Aggravating.
