I have a SRAM Pro bleed kit with good solid syringes. But after a few years the hoses hardened and I couldn't slam the clamps shut to bleed. I found a hose at a local hardware store to replace the hoses but there was a problem. The SRAM hose-syringe fitting was a two-piece screw-on compression fitting. It was fine, but the bottom fitting was a direct compression fit with a small piece of metal that is inserted into the hose and then pushed into the bottom (where the fitting screws into the arm/caliper). I tried and tried to squeeze it enough to seal it but it just leaked or ripped through the new hose. Enter this inexpensive kit. He had exactly what I needed. Threaded compression fittings for caliper/arm end. I was able to use this part from this kit along with the threaded compression fittings for the syringe end of the hose and restored the SRAM bleeders to near new condition. Added bonus: I know I have a spare set of syringes, a bleed block and some extra hoses to use next time the hoses get hard. This set had more than I needed for my purpose but most importantly it had exactly what I needed when I couldn't find it anywhere else.
