When I first got it, it was fast, with a read speed of over 120MB/s and a write speed of over 30MB/s. However, after multiple transfers of files larger than 100GB, performance quickly degraded. Now it shows 40MB/s reading and 25MB/s writing. I suppose the heat is to blame, it just got fried. As other reviewers have said, it gets very hot even after a few minutes. Imagine how long it will take and how much heat it will take to write 116GB files on it and then read 116GB files while transferring. A few broadcast sessions and this thing quickly burned out. However, the price you pay for 128GB of storage isn't bad, and the performance is still decent.
