This is my second toy that we love so much - one for preschool and one for home. Fits my 2.5 year old perfectly and should be fine for a year or maybe more, his head is slightly larger, maybe 70th percentile. Can be tightened on a smaller head. The main feature I like is that the edges aren't too flexible so he can see well. The chin strap is also great for windy conditions. And the mesh opening ensures breathability. After trying many types of toddler hats, this one fits the bill perfectly and he doesn't mind wearing it! Ideal for the beach/pool, school, parks, outings, etc.
