size chart out. The medium, despite its size, was too big for my 3 month old Boston Terrier. I bought a small one and it fits great. Will keep the medium until it grows into it. The coat is great quality and the fact that it can be used as a harness makes it really handy for quick winter walks when neither of us wants to be outside. I've been using it every day for a month and the coat is still like new even though my pup attacks it every time I take it off. Would give 5 stars if the size chart was correct. Edit (2018-01-13): I originally bought this in December 2016. Initially, the medium size didn't fit my Boston Terrier puppy, so I left the medium size and ordered a small. . The little one was perfect for her and she outgrew it before the end of her first winter. Then the medium suited her perfectly and still fits 1 year later. After one winter, the fur on the lower "armpits” began to tear. Since then, the gap in half has turned into a full gap. This wasn't a problem for me and was probably due to how my pup buckled her leash trained at full speed when she had a FRAP. This week the coat finally failed. The first of the D-Links broke and fell off. So at that point I ordered a new coat (same thing) and shipped it with the remaining D-Link. The next day the fabric holding the remaining D link came loose because she was pulling. Luckily my pup was well behaved and just followed me home afterwards (I'm just glad we didn't see any rabbits). I am very happy with this product and its durability for the price. Under $30 for 1.5 winter seasons (plus if it was cold or rained in the fall) is certainly fair. Right now I would rate this 5 stars but I feel the D links should be thicker or heavier gauge metal. The absolute last thing some people want is for their dog to come out of the harness. I bought her a $10 Spring/Summer harness for her at Wal-Mart and the D-links on it are over 4 times thicker and stainless steel. Now I don't think the D-Links need to be that thick as they are a little heavy putting my leash through; but twice as thick and made of better material would be nice. If you have a dog that doesn't fit when you call him I definitely wouldn't recommend using this with just a D link. Seams are not designed to support a load unless they are split between two D-links. It would also be nice to have a heavier seam around the armholes. Edit (2021-10-02): D-Links break every year. My pup is now fit for last winter's big one and either they have fixed the issues I was complaining about or the big one is more stable. D-Links are much thicker (probably 2.5-3 times thicker) and are made of stainless steel. I don't think it will ever be destroyed now.
