Killed our kitten (she came back but badly injured)

We ordered this to help our kitten grow up. We only had him for a few days when they stopped him. Our poor child was shot in the head. She lost consciousness, blood spurted from her nose. She began to gargle and choke on blood, then froze. We prayed because we thought she was dead and when we saw her paw twitch we flew to the vet in an hour. She was conscious throughout the ride and lost consciousness. She has been in the hospital for 3 days now. She still cannot swallow and has a feeding tube.

Pros
  • Stable test results

Sisal-free rope on beds and furniture

My cats have always liked sisal rope scratching posts of all shapes and sizes. They have one of the same height and shape that has always been their favorite. The base on it is carpeted wood. I was hoping this would replace these as the scratching surface is almost worn out after a few years of daily use. Well, no luck. It has a scratchy, cloth-like finish made from pressed sisal fabric. It's made the same way, so every square inch is exactly the same. This is NOT natural sisal. Natural sisal…

Update your worn out scratching post!

Great scratching post. This almost completely saved our sofa from scratches. We had the rack for about 2 years and the top half of the rack was pretty much broken. You can see in my first picture that the fibers are coming out and in some places the burlap material is completely worn away. Rather than buying a new rack (which I'd happily do) I decided to see if I could flip the rack. to allow the crampons to scratch the unused underside of the post. Luckily you can! You will need 4mm and 3mm…

Fiction! Big enough for my largest cat

After purchasing the Meow Town Sisal Scratch N' Stow natural cat scratching post a while ago, I noticed that my cats liked it, but it wasn't big enough for my largest cat , which really stretches when scratched. Someone suggested the SmartCat Ultimate cat tree and I realized that I would be buying one soon. Well I never got around to it until now! The scratching post mentioned above was on its last legs - my cats loved it so much they ended up tearing its sisal cover. This just happened a few…

The best scratching post for cats

Both of my cats LOVE scratching posts. I used to buy round rope for them and they could last maybe 3-4 months before completely falling apart and turning into a shaggy, shed mess. I ended up buying one of these scratchers 3 years ago after selling it in store a few times due to its cost (it's MUCH cheaper on Revain with no shipping). But I was so fed up with buying $20-$30 a piece that they just wore out completely. As you can see in the photo there is a 3 year old scraper on the left and the…

Great scratching post!

I knew I needed a great scratching post for my cat. She scratched all of our furniture and the scratching post she had was way too small and just not great! After placing an order for new furniture, we knew we had to make her a pole she wouldn't scratch anymore! After extensive research I found out what really matters in a scratching post is its size, it has to be big and tall for the cat to stretch out. It must be strong so that the cat cannot knock it over easily, and it must be of a…

  • High marks for support and durability from testers

OMG.he loved it straight away!

For the first time our boy tried to scratch the corner of a leather lemonade in the living room. (He didn't have a scratching post in that room) We thought it best to get him something suitable to scratch in that room. (Often the best solution to scratching is simply to provide a preferred and acceptable alternative to what she wants to scratch.) OMG, he LOVES this scratching post! Literally a few minutes after I assembled and set it up, it immediately started scratching it. This is a good size
