This wand worked great. It took me about half an hour to figure out how to get it programmatically, but once I did it all worked great. I programmed the wand into my TV and Rockbox. Mistake #1: When I tried to put it into programming mode by pressing the power button three times, the wand kept turning off when I pressed the button three times. The answer to this question is that you need to quickly press the button three times in a row and then hold it down on the third press. I gave 3 reasonable jabs but they should be quick. The tip of the stick turns green, then orange. When it turns orange, do whatever gesture you want to use, swipe right. Once the gesture is recognized, the wand will flash green, then turn orange again and start pulsing. This is when you hold the TV remote close, for example press the power button and quickly release it. Just press the power button without holding it down. When the wand receives a signal, it will pulse and turn green. It then flashes orange. Press the power button one last time to finish programming each gesture. Just repeat these steps for each gesture. Just remember that you only have 9 gestures, so you can only control 9 functions on the remote. I programmed my wand for power and TV volume. I then programmed the cursor keys, home button, and OK button on my Roku remote. I recommend for TV If you want to program gestures for your TV, use only the TV remote control. Do not use the directv remote or any other cable tv remote control. Only use the cable box remote control to program cable box functions.
