Do not give up! Software fix!

OMG I've been trying for HOURS to get this to program. I googled, posted on YouTube, researched. I was looking for Harry Potter's Wand vs Direct TV, the Genie Console. Serious. THEN I HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER! If you have direct TV or some kind of radio frequency (RF) remote control - IT DOESN'T WORK! Oh no! BUT - at least as far as the direct remote control of the TV is concerned - you can switch the program to infrared (IF) via the menu and settings of the TV. Here's how to do it on screen…

A bit of work, but worth it!

So here's the thing. Make sure you have an IR remote and not an RF remote and it will work. I had to google to find out what remote control I have. We have a Samsung TV with a Samsung soundbar, all connected to our Roku. I can use this wand. It took a while to pair, with LOTS of trial and error and LOTS of resets. I had to watch the posh company "programming your wand" over and over to make this thing work. Once connected you will feel this long pulse and the tip will turn orange and you can…

Not as difficult as others claim. Serious.

First, I understand that this wand might seem difficult to set up at first, but once you understand how to put it in "program mode" everything else becomes a breeze. Remote Control/Device with IR (Infrared Technology). This means that for any device with a remote control, you need to make sure that the device's remote is pointed at the device in order for the buttons to do what you want them to do (volume up, scene change, etc.). You don't need to point the remote at the device like you do with

Cool idea, difficult to execute

I've been watching some online video tutorials on how to program this remote that others have posted and read the instructions but I've had no luck to program this wand. I can say that for several days I spent a few days for a few hours just in command learning mode. I didn't attempt to program until I had successfully and repeatedly exited practice mode. Then I spent about 2-3 hours programming. Constantly "reconfiguring" the wand, re-issuing commands. The instructions state that if the wand's

This wand is great once you program it.

This wand worked great. It took me about half an hour to figure out how to get it programmatically, but once I did it all worked great. I programmed the wand into my TV and Rockbox. Mistake #1: When I tried to put it into programming mode by pressing the power button three times, the wand kept turning off when I pressed the button three times. The answer to this question is that you need to quickly press the button three times in a row and then hold it down on the third press. I gave 3…
