I've been watching some online video tutorials on how to program this remote that others have posted and read the instructions but I've had no luck to program this wand. I can say that for several days I spent a few days for a few hours just in command learning mode. I didn't attempt to program until I had successfully and repeatedly exited practice mode. Then I spent about 2-3 hours programming. Constantly "reconfiguring" the wand, re-issuing commands. The instructions state that if the wand's movement is successfully programmed via the remote command, it will vibrate and flash colors (if I remember correctly), but I still get a notification that the movement and command are synchronized When using the Magic Sticks Flourish as programmed, nothing works. I started with very simple commands like louder. The wand command was to flick the wand up, and to turn down the volume was to flick the wand down. The only successful command that worked was to increase the volume. At first I tried syncing commands with the universal remote from our cable box, but since I was having so many problems I used the basic programming commands with the remote that came with the TV. So switch off, switch on, louder and quieter. It was sooooo much work and there was little for it. Basically, I thought that even if I took more time to get everything working perfectly, the wand motion was so specific that I could see myself getting frustrated just trying to change the channel. I'm pretty tech savvy but this made me quickly reach for my good old traditional remote control! That was just my experience with the wand.
