First, I understand that this wand might seem difficult to set up at first, but once you understand how to put it in "program mode" everything else becomes a breeze. Remote Control/Device with IR (Infrared Technology). This means that for any device with a remote control, you need to make sure that the device's remote is pointed at the device in order for the buttons to do what you want them to do (volume up, scene change, etc.). You don't need to point the remote at the device like you do with the Revain Firestick. This device uses RF (radio frequency). Long story short, it doesn't work with the Firestick I wanted it for (it was a gift for my girlfriend). Luckily! We also have ROKU. It definitely uses IR and let me tell you this wand does exactly what it was designed to do. It has 9 movements to program (turn left, turn right, slide forward, pull back, swipe up, swipe down, swipe left, swipe right). , and a big swing). We've got all 9 set up and now we can magically navigate ROKU! We've also configured it to increase and decrease the volume on our soundbar. Seriously, the BEST GIFT for Harry Potter fans. I just can't do it and my girlfriend loves it. That's sooo cool! I will say that it was a little confusing at first, but then again, if you calm your nerves and really focus on what/how you need to set up, it will be 1000000% worth it! Be patient and get the coolest remote control in town as a reward!
