Review on Double Wedding Templates Sharlene Jorgenson by Tara Ford

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The book is good.

Update: I changed this review to 4 stars instead of 5 after really trying to put this quilt together and also after seeing Marty Michell's version of the double wedding ring template installed on their website. Marty trimmed the corners of the template so there's no question as to where to start sewing each seam. Charlene Jorgenson fidgets and juggles pins trying to figure out where to start. I wish I had found Marty before finding this just because I'm not an expert. This is a set of 8 double wedding ring templates and full color instruction booklet. You have 3 options for the double wedding ring you want to make: planned, defective or solid arch. The 25-page booklet is detailed. There's even a chart at the end that lists the number of yards you'll need of each fabric needed for 'planned', 'discarded' or 'seamless' and DIFFERENT SIZES you need want to create for your quilt. I listed the dimensions at the end of my review. All pieces are covered with a self-adhesive backing on both sides that you can remove. This is probably done to keep the parts from scratching each other in transit. In addition, they are all glued to a sheet of cardboard so that they do not slip. There's a sheet with these little green fluffy dots of glue that you peel off the sheet and attach to each corner of your template to keep the fabric in place when rotary cutting. I've included a picture showing the booklet and two pieces of my template: 1 with green fluffy felt dots, adhesive backing, and 1 with backing. Size Options (Number of Rings by Number of Rings): 1 ring pad. Finished Size: 15 1/4" x 15 1/4", 2 rings x 2 rings: Finished 26 3/4" x 26 3/4" 3 x 3 = Finished: 36 1/2" x 36 1/2 4 x 5 = 47 1/4" x 57 3/4" ("Baby Blanket") 4 x 65 x 65 x 76 x 76 x 87 x 87 x 98 x 98 x 109 x 109 x 1110 x 11 finished: 111" x 121 1/2"
