I always worry about sounding like an old curmudgeon, but I really am. My Nesco 5 liter electric pressure cooker started to release steam from the side. I figured I would have to replace it as I had to replace almost all of the appliances that had been used in my kitchen for over three years. I ordered a gasket replacement with no expectations; Any attempt to repair a typical device usually ends in disaster, but the gasket fits. Steam no longer escapes from the pressure cooker. It didn't explode either. I'm just amazed that I actually found a replacement part for a device that actually works.
