I received this hammock today and immediately added it to the tiered cage I set up for my adopted kittens. The first thing I noticed was the soft material. It can be used from any side. One material is velvety and the other softly opaque. The parts that connect to the bars of the box are very strong. I used to have ones that were thin and eventually broke. They are thick and made of good material. The kitten in the picture weighs just under two pounds and is great for snuggling with another kitten. I think it would be great for other animals like ferrets, hamsters, gerbils etc. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to spend some quality time with their small pet.
