The mirror part is too heavy to stay in place if you want to pull it out without assistance. The clip is so stretchy that I feel like it could damage my iMac from pressing so hard against the edge of the screen. This is because the clip is angled so that only the unpadded edges of the clip come into contact with the monitor. If the clip was flush with the monitor the rubber pad would hold it in place better and I wouldn't worry about the screen tearing. Because it's the slippery/hard edge of the clip, it won't stay in place and I keep a rag between the clip and my monitor to keep it from damaging the screen. Hope that helps!
