Description of πŸš— DRIVESTAR Belt Tensioner with Pulley for Mazda 3/5 2.0L 2.3L 2.5L (2004-2009/2006-2010)

With Pulley Or Not: Yes. This belt assures accurate belt tension, alliance and damping which considerably enhances performance. With the help of vibration damping system, it increases tension and keeps the amount of energy reduced to a natural frequency for lasting use. Torsional round spring design causes consistent tension and helps in preventing the contamination. This ensures high durability. Provides a complete range coverage for domestic applications and those that are imported or heavy-duty.

Works best in spares

I recently had to install 2 of these on a 2011 and 2012 Mazda 3. Has taken care of the noise on both and seems to be holding up very well.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Same as OEM or better

I repair a lot of cars and buy tons of parts, (literally) this one fits perfectly and has a steel pulley. Very nice as well as the price.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Negative

2006 Mazda 5 2.3L Belt Tensioner

Looks different to the OEM tensioner BUT it fits great and was easy to install. Comes with a pulley so do not purchase a separate pulley as it is not required.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Clarity

2009 Mazda 3 i Sport Sedan

I have a 2009 Mazda 3 i Sport Sedan 2.0. The old belt tensioner was plastic. This one is made of metal. It was a different style but it fit in the same place and still works great. I think due to the fact that it's metal it will hold up better.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • empty

perfect fit for 2006 Mazda 3 2.3L

First time replacement of tensioner pulley. The old one had some play. The strap clicked damn tight after installation. I panicked a bit but when I got there I felt relieved. I was hoping this would get rid of the noise in the cabin when accelerating and idling, but just waited for the passenger engines to pick up. That's where the noise comes from. Found this from a forum and saw liquid around the mount.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Volume

Item is ok, may not fit certain belt sizes for Mazda 3 2.3L 2004

The product looked good and was of decent quality for the price. It sits well on the engine. However, it doesn't have the same tension range as the OEM brand, so it won't work with shorter drive belts. The OEM tension has different positions to accommodate different belt sizes. A shorter belt that an OEM tensioner can handle will be too short for this tensioner. I had to return the product.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things

Equal or better than OEM

I repair a lot of cars and buy tons of parts, (literally) this fits perfectly and has a steel pulley. Very nice as well as the price.

Pros
  • This belt provides precise tension, traction and cushioning to significantly improve performance.
Cons
  • I will add later
