Review on Salomon Women's Supercross W Trail Running Shoe: Optimal Comfort and Traction for Adventurous Women by Paul Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Other reviews mentioning a large shoe size are correct.

This is my first experience with Salomon Supercross women's trail running shoes. I chose these shoes because the gyms were closed due to the COVID-19 crisis. So I started learning trail running and trail running to stay in shape. I was wearing a different brand of sneakers, but my feet and legs started to hurt after every walk or run. My walks were typically 90 minutes on paved paths, cement sidewalks, or wooded areas. I have read several reviews warning that the Salomon women's Supercross trail running shoes run large and should consider ordering a half or full size smaller. I usually wear orthotics in my shoes; I also have narrow and flat feet. So I decided to order half a size smaller than my usual shoe size; Size 9, not 9.5. I wasn't sure if ordering a half size is better than a full size; However, I took the risk of reducing the size by half. In my experience, the Salomon Supercross women's trail running shoe solved my foot problems, which surprised me. I liked that my feet adjusted to the shoe immediately with no delays in breaking in or wearing the shoe. I felt that the combination of the strength of the Contagrip sole, the lightweight midsole and the stability of the Sensifit technology, which holds my narrow foot with the Quicklace lacing system, was perfectly supported. I tested the shoe running on wet, muddy grass laced with mahogany branches, then switched to pavement running. My feet held up well, stayed dry, with good cushioning and no pain. Wearing these shoes motivated me to try other shoes from this brand in the future.
