This cable has a lot of haters in regards to the caliber of the actual cable. As far as I can tell, the cable itself is 8 gauge, or at least very close. I think the catch is that other higher quality cables are often thicker than advertised to stand out from the rest. This cable only meets the minimum specification for the caliber, so it may be smaller than others. For me it serves the purpose, has a good look and looks very high quality. The cable has a lot of strands and is therefore quite flexible for its size.
