Purchased to fit Polk Audio Signature S10 Series speakers (8 lbs. each). I tried installing it with plastic drywall anchors (weighing 50 pounds), but I wasn't happy with the bulge in the drywall when I hung the speaker. I ended up moving over 4 inches to find the wall stud and I recommend installing these brackets ONLY through the wall studs. The easiest way I've found is to loosen the lag screw just enough to remove the ball mount, install the ball to the speaker first, then lift the speaker/ball mount onto the bracket, have a second person for help to ask when positioning, then you can use the included hex key to tighten the ball clamp. Make sure the ball itself is clean and free of sweat/oil to prevent it from slipping in the clip. I find these brackets to be sturdy and offer maximum flexibility in aligning the speaker when hung. I believe the documentation says they have a £10 limit. and are likely accurate by design. I like that they mount close to the wall and seem to disappear when the speaker is in front of them. I would recommend them for any surround sound speaker needs.
