Looks strong but only the edges are metal. The top, bottom and sides appear to be cardboard. Maybe plastic. Cardboard does not withstand moisture, I hope it is plastic. Don't do an autopsy to find out. It's too tight for my Oakleys. Very tight with sports band. But it works.
